  26. Check with Hayes. Their modems support "AutoSync": the modem converts
  27. sync HDLC traffic into a async replacement scheme and vice versa. You
  28. still need special software to handle the async end, Hayes Crosstalk(?)
  29. or such.

  31. Of course Hayes won't sell you a 1200bps modem for this, they don't make
  32. any anymore, but rather a Optima 14400 or better.
